Sometimes you have to have to get mad at yourself and the world to finally motivate yourself enouhg to make a difference. When I was a child I wanted to be a doctor more than anything else and even as I grew up I had the same dream but it fell to the way side. I didn't have the commitment or drive to push for it.
The last month has forced me to do some major soul searching and that's why I interviewed today with a local community college for early pre-med. It seems fitting enough, I can get my first 2 years to 3 years of credits in pre-med out of the way at a CT community college and better yet if my grades stay in the good to high zone I am guaranteed entry to U-Conn's or Centrals pre-med program both of which also have med schools.
It's a little scary because they are by far bigger and harder classes then anything I've taken before but I'm tired of saying what if. My life is on track. The only thing I have yet to do is follow my heart to the career I want to do for the rest of my life.
Wish me Luck.
